Last-minute Gift Ideas

With just a week left before Christmas, and opportunities for online shopping diminishing (or getting more expensive), we thought we'd highlight some options that are easy to order online and pick up curbside between now and December 24! (We're also open 12 - 6 12/18, 10 - 1+ 12/19, 3+ - 6 12/23, and 10 - 2 12/24 for appointments and walk-ins as available.)

Science Fiction and Fantasy

Octavia Butler -- many readers have bought "Parable of the Sower" and "Parable of the Talents" this year, but going a little deeper into her backlist, we also have titles from her Patternist and Exogenesis series. Wild Seed, Mind of My Mind, Clay's Ark, and Dawn, Adulthood Rites, and Imago.

Terry Pratchett has many light and refreshingly silly reads from his Discworld series, and you don't have to read them in order! Check out our full selection of new and used here.

A new movie version of Dune is incoming, and we have both the stunningly repackaged paperback edition and the graphic novel, Book 1, available.

You can check out many other new and used options from writers like N.K. JemisinArthur C. Clarke, Ursula K Le Guin, J.R.R. Tolkien, William Gibson, Robert Jordan, and more, here.

Crafts and Needlework

We have just a fraction of our section up online so far, but fun gifts for the maker in your life could include Geek Knits, Duct Tape, Stamp Stencil Paint, or The Mindful Maker. Find even more here, or come in and browse the section!

Local Authors

Once again we have many more titles from local authors than we can add here, but they include works from local scribes Emily Arsenault, Amanda Lou DosterJan Maher, Maki Matsui, and Wilson Roberts. There are so many others and we hope we haven't offended anyone with an omission -- check them out here and in-store.

Books for Young Readers and Graphic Novels

We'll be working over the next several months to get more of our collection online, but we have plenty of young adult and middle reader titles to browse in-store! Our graphic novels selection is limited, but growing. Check out what we have online, here: children's books and graphic novels.

Lastly, we also have various sizes of Moleskines and a local calendar or two.

Happy shopping, and happy holidays!
